I grew up in Frenchtown, Montana where I learned to fish, hunt and shake hands after a fight. After graduating from the University of Oregon, I was lucky to land an internship at CP&B in 2003. One of my first assignments was to write 100 great headlines for a newspaper ad. It was brutal and one of the greatest experiences of my career. It taught me that with enough work, you never run out of ideas, unlike money, which ran out after two months. I spent my last week sleeping in a park as I couldn't afford a motel. It was awesome.
Years later, I've been fortunate to work for several of the world's best agencies. As a creative director at 72andSunny, I produced work for Samsung, Starbucks, Activision, Busch Beer and ESPN. Most recently, I’ve worked for Facebook, Deutsch and Party Land.
I still sleep outside from time to time.
